[Remote] Client Operations Associate, Private Markets

They are seeking an associate level professional to join their Private Markets Client Operations team, responsible for comprehensive accounting and middle/back-office solutions for their global client base.ResponsibilitiesAssist with middle and back-office operations and account services on private market fundsRecord transactions to the company’s investment management systemLiaise with investment managers, third party administrators and banksTrack forecasted cash flows – capital calls, distributions, invoices, etcReview all transaction documentation and supporting files, and understand the features of the investment transactions, accruals, etcReview monthly/quarterly closing packages for accuracy and completeness, including capital activity, investment activity, income and expense accruals, valuation adjustments, etcReview management fee calculations, including offset amounts, management fee waiver contributions, etcReview investor allocations and capital account statementsReview capital call and distribution calculations, sources/uses of cash, allocations, and investor noticesReview distribution waterfall (carried interest) models, in keeping with the applicable fund termsPrepare and/or review financial statements, notes disclosures, and supporting schedulesWork on the year-end audit process, in collaboration with the client and auditors and service providersSkills3 to 5 years of fund accounting/operations experience, ideally at a fund administrator, investment manager, public accounting firm or other financial institutionKnowledge of private equity, private credit, fund accounting, legal structures, investment objectives, fee structuresStrong quantitative and qualitative skillsAdvanced professional proficiency in Microsoft ExcelCPA preferred but not requiredCompany OverviewAksia provides research & portfolio advisory services on hedge funds, private credit, & opportunistic strategies to institutional investors.
