The City Operations Manager will lead electric vehicle fleet management programs, ensuring operational excellence and client partnership while developing strategic initiatives and mentoring leadership teams.ResponsibilitiesProvide overall leadership and accountability for daily electric vehicle multi-site operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of autonomous vehicle operationsDevelop and implement operational strategies aligned with corporate and client objectivesLead and mentor Operations Supervisors and Leads; build succession plans and develop high-performing leadership teamsDrive cross-functional collaboration across shifts and departments to ensure seamless 24/7 operationsEstablish and monitor KPIs related to safety, productivity, quality, and cost control, and analyze performance metrics to identify trends and implement improvementsChampion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and emergency response proceduresRepresent the organization in high-level client meetings, providing executive-level reporting on performance, risks, and improvement initiativesPartner with client dispatch and operations leadership to optimize mission assignment and field operationsOversee scheduling, workforce planning, resource allocation, and consistent execution of operational processesLead response efforts for service disruptions, incidents, and operational challenges while ensuring proper documentation and follow-upSkillsBachelor's degree from an accredited university required5–7+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, including managing supervisorsAbility to work on-site in San Diego, CAStrong strategic thinking and operational planning capabilitiesProven leadership and people development skillsAdvanced analytical skills with ability to interpret metrics and drive resultsDegree in Operations Management, Business, or related field strongly preferredExperience in transportation, mobility services, rental fleet operations, logistics, or related operationsExperience leading 24/7 operations and large, multi-location teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence executive-level stakeholdersStrong decision-making skills in high-pressure environmentsProficiency with reporting systems and operational softwareBenefitsA culture of innovation, empowerment, decision-making, and accountabilityComprehensive health and welfare benefits that serve the needs of you and your family and foster a culture of wellnessAdditional benefits and amenities, including paid time-off programs (vacation, sick leave, and holidays)Company OverviewElement Fleet Management is a fleet management company that provides world-class management services and financing for commercial vehicle.
