MetroSys, Inc. is seeking an experienced Cisco Data Center Consultant to support pre-sales and assessment activities for enterprise clients. This role will involve conducting technical discovery sessions, evaluating current-state architectures, and developing modernization roadmaps and solution recommendations.ResponsibilitiesConduct technical discovery sessions and infrastructure assessments for enterprise data center environmentsEvaluate current-state compute, network, virtualization, and storage architecturesPerform Cisco-focused assessments across:Cisco UCSCisco NexusCisco ACICisco MDSCisco IntersightIdentify technical risks, lifecycle concerns, performance bottlenecks, and modernization opportunitiesDevelop assessment findings, recommendations, and executive-level reportsSupport solution architects and sales teams during customer engagementsParticipate in customer workshops, design reviews, and strategy sessionsAssist with scoping projects, developing statements of work (SOWs), and estimating implementation effortsProvide guidance on:Data center modernizationCompute refresh initiativesVirtualization platformsHybrid cloud connectivityNetwork and storage integrationDeliver architecture recommendations and migration strategies aligned with client business objectivesServe as a subject matter expert during technical presentations and customer discussionsSkills3+ years of enterprise data center engineering or consultingDeep hands-on expertise with Cisco UCSDeep hands-on expertise with Cisco NexusDeep hands-on expertise with Cisco ACIDeep hands-on expertise with Cisco Data Center networkingStrong understanding of VMware environmentsStrong understanding of Data center networkingStrong understanding of Compute and storage infrastructureStrong understanding of Disaster recovery and high availability designExperience performing infrastructure assessments and technical discovery workshopsAbility to communicate effectively with both technical and executive stakeholdersExperience supporting pre-sales and solution development activitiesAbility to travel throughout the Eastern United States as requiredCompany OverviewMetroSys is an Technology & Staffing Solutions firm based in sunny San Diego, CA.
