Remote Chief Staff Officer

Remote Chief of Staff, R&D role is a pivotal strategic partner embedded within the Research & Development organization, collaborating closely with senior leadership. The role focuses on driving operational excellence, enhancing decision‑making processes, and aligning activities with organizational priorities. You will help translate strategic goals into actionable results and work cross‑functionally with Engineering, Product, and Design teams.

Accountabilities
• Serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to R&D leadership.
• Own the operational cadence of R&D team meetings and planning.
• Act as a cross‑functional connector to other business units.
• Maintain dashboards that showcase R&D progress and risks.
• Lead high‑priority initiatives that cross team boundaries.
• Draft and manage key communications for the R&D department.
• Collaborate on hiring and talent development strategies.

Requirements
• 8+ years of experience in strategy or operations in SaaS or tech.
• 3+ years in a Chief of Staff or strategic operational role.
• Deep understanding of R&D organization dynamics.
• Strong analytical and financial skills.
• Exceptional communication and presence with executives.
• Ability to drive process improvement effectively.
• High emotional intelligence and relationship‑building skills.
• Experience navigating ambiguity and complex environments.
• Familiarity with program/project management methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA preferred.
