[Remote] Business Systems Administrator- VoIP

They are seeking a Business Systems Administrator with a focus on VoIP to manage and optimize their voice and communication systems while collaborating with IT and business teams to enhance user experience and system reliability.ResponsibilitiesAdminister and support enterprise VoIP platforms (e.g., SIP, cloud PBX, softphones, call routing, contact center solutions)Manage user provisioning, extensions, call flows, auto attendants, and hunt groupsMonitor system performance, uptime, call quality, recordings, and reliabilityTroubleshoot voice quality issues (latency, jitter, packet loss) in collaboration with network teamsMaintain and optimize call routing, IVR systems, and failover configurationsCoordinate with telecom vendors and carriers for support, changes, and escalations, license renewals/upgradesManage number provisioning, porting, and telecom inventoryIntegrating VoIP with CRM or support systems (Salesforce, Zendesk, etc.)Support and maintain corporate SaaS applications and communication toolsAssist in integrations between VoIP systems and other platforms (CRM, ticketing, collaboration tools)Participate in system upgrades, rollouts, and migrationsMaintain system documentation, SOPs, and user guidesAssist with automation and process improvements across business systemsServe as a tier 2 escalation point for communication and telephony issuesAnalyze trends and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and user experienceParticipate in on-call or after-hours support as needed for critical systemsEnsure systems comply with internal security policies and regulatory requirementsSupport patching, access control, and system hardening effortsAssist with audit readiness and documentation for voice and communication systemsSkillsStrong understanding of VoIP technologies (SIP, RTP, QoS, call routing)Experience with cloud-based communication platforms (e.g., Teams Phone, RingCentral, Zoom Phone, etc.)Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash)Strong knowledge of Entra ID, Intune, Azure VDIs, M365, SSO/SAMLSolid networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, QoS)Strong troubleshooting and analytical skillsAbility to manage vendors and external service providersStrong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersBachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)3–5+ years of experience in VoIP, telecom, or unified communications administrationExperience supporting enterprise communication environmentsExperience with system integrations and APIs is a plusRelevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Teams Voice, Cisco, or equivalent) are a plusBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insuranceA 401(k) planA strong commitment to work-life balancePromoting opportunities for career advancementCompany OverviewWe understand how paramount the customer experience is to a carrier's success.
