They are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst I to gather user requirements, analyze business intelligence requests, and provide training while leveraging technology to support population health initiatives.ResponsibilitiesGather, prepare and analyze user requirements for designing and creatingParticipate in technical code review as neededConduct proper testing and validationUtilize enterprise data systems (such as Epic Slicer Dicer, Caboodle & Clarity) to develop and modify reports and dashboardsPerform change management when reporting system modifications are neededCoordinate the scheduling of reports in productionFollow all build, configuration and release management and user and technical documentation standards set by CCHMCPerform reporting consolidation and analysis duties to ensure content alignment with enterprise standardsLearn to translate business user questions into data solutionsUtilize the CCHMC information glossary to refer to governed definitions when analyzing and creating reportsProvide end user training as required for new hires or when changes are made to existing applications/systemsCreate educational materials for end user training including, but not limited to job aides, lesson plans & quick start guidesDevelop knowledge and professional skills through cross training, literature and attendance at department meetings and vendor educationKeep current with the submission of departmental and hospital required documentation and completing departmental and hospital required trainingObtain and/or maintain appropriate technical certifications (including Epic certifications if applicable)Develop oral and written communication skills, especially related to system changes and updatesReview and execute testing plansCreate new simple Business Intelligence solution designs and modify and execute more complex solutions based on existing designs and templatesParticipate actively in project planning and meetingsPrepare and submit detailed documentation and status reports in accordance with department standardsPerform other duties as assignedAnalyze Business Intelligence requests to align with existing tools and processesOrganize and complete assigned tasks and associated documentation upon directives from supervisorDevelop and use troubleshooting skills to effectively support Business Intelligence solutionsEscalate unresolved issues with urgencySeek the appropriate resources needed for activities with multiple tasksBe personally accountable for commitments to project timelines and deliverablesEffectively work with cross functional teams and customers to identify build deficiencies based on customer reporting requestsSkillsBachelor's DegreeNo experience requiredExperience with Epic Slicer Dicer, Caboodle, ClarityExperience with BI Visualization Tools (MS Power BI and Fabric, Tableau, Qlik)Familiarity/Experience with data virtualization (Denodo)Familiarity/Experience with Data Governance concepts and processesExperience with version control tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHubSelf-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentA love for technology and curiosity for learning new thingsInterest in supporting and participating in a positive cultureCompany OverviewCincinnati Children’s, a nonprofit academic medical center established in 1883, offers services from well-child care to treatment for the most rare and complex conditions.
