They are seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to support their growing CPGR business in North America by generating new business opportunities and building a qualified pipeline for the sales team.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and engage target accounts across Food & Beverage, Cosmetics & Personal Care, Retail, Grocery Retail, and Private LabelGenerate qualified meetings and Sales Accepted Leads for the North American CPGR Sales teamConduct early-stage discovery to understand business needs, current processes, pain points, and potential fit with CentricEnsure meetings are qualified before handoff to SalesFocus on pipeline quality, not just activity or meeting volumeDocument prospect context, business pain, next steps, and qualification notes in SalesforceLead outbound prospecting through email, phone, LinkedIn, and event-driven outreachTailor messaging by industry, persona, and business challengeCreate personalized outreach based on account research and relevant business triggersBuild talk tracks for key personas including R&D, Product Development, Innovation, Regulatory, Quality, Packaging, Private Label, Sourcing, Sustainability, and ITTest and refine messaging based on response rates, meeting conversion, and Sales feedbackMaintain consistent follow-up with prospects and target accountsResearch and map target accounts across North AmericaIdentify key contacts and buying groups within priority accountsCapture relevant account intelligence, including company size, product categories, private label relevance, product complexity, regulatory exposure, innovation intensity, recent business triggers, and likely system landscapeBuild context around current tools, manual workflows, spreadsheet reliance, and potential Centric fit where availableCollaborate with Sales Executives to prioritize accounts and refine outreach strategySupport pipeline generation around priority industry eventsBuild pre-event target account and contact listsConduct pre-event outreach to book meetingsCoordinate with Sales and Marketing on event follow-upCapture buyer feedback, market insights, and competitor observationsEnsure post-event follow-up is timely, structured, and documentedDevelop a strong working understanding of the CPGR industries Centric serves, including Food & Beverage product development, recipes, formulations, ingredients, nutrition, allergens, supplier collaboration, claims, labeling, packaging, artwork, quality, and regulatory complianceMaintain accurate and complete activity, account, contact, and lead records in SalesforceLog outbound activity, prospect responses, meeting outcomes, and follow-up actionsCapture lead sources and campaign attribution accuratelyProvide clear handoff notes for Sales ExecutivesTrack progress against activity, meeting, SAL, and pipeline goalsShare market feedback, buyer objections, competitor insights, and messaging learnings with Sales, Marketing, and CPGR leadershipSkills1+ years of experience in business development, sales development, account development, inside sales, or a related prospecting-focused roleExperience with outbound prospecting through email, phone, LinkedIn, or similar channelsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong research, organization, and time management skillsAbility to qualify prospects and communicate business context clearlySelf-driven, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote environmentAbility to collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and cross-functional teamsCollege or university degree, or equivalent professional experienceStrong experience using Microsoft 365 or similar productivity toolsExperience with CRM and sales engagement toolsBenefitsCompetitive salary and benefits.Remote work with a collaborative North American team.Opportunity to join a global software company and contribute to a strategic growth market.Exposure to enterprise sales cycles and senior buyers across Food & Beverage, Cosmetics & Personal Care, Retail, Grocery Retail, and Private Label.A multifaceted role with responsibility across prospecting, research, qualification, events, and pipeline generation.The opportunity to help build Centricβs CPGR business development motion in North America.Company Overview#1 PLM, Planning, Pricing and Inventory, Market Intelligence, Visual Boards for consumer goods businesses.
