[Remote] Business Development Representative

They are seeking highly motivated Business Development Representatives to help build and scale their pipeline generation engine through outbound prospecting, inbound lead qualification, and creating new sales opportunities for the Account Executive team.ResponsibilitiesGenerate pipeline through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn prospecting, and local market targetingIdentify and engage restaurant owners, operators, general managers, and decision-makersProspect into independent restaurants, multi-location operators, and competitive replacement opportunitiesRespond quickly to inbound demo requests and marketing leadsQualify opportunities based on business fit, operational needs, timing, and decision-making processSchedule discovery meetings and demos for Account ExecutivesLearn and communicate Upserve’s value proposition clearlyUnderstand restaurant operational pain points including staffing, labor efficiency, guest experience, payments, and service speedHelp position Upserve against other restaurant POS competitorsMaintain accurate activity and lead tracking in SalesforceUse sales engagement platform and other GTM tools consistentlyFollow defined outbound processes, SLAs, and qualification standardsPartner closely with Account Executives, Marketing, RevOps, and Sales LeadershipShare prospect feedback, objections, and competitive insightsContribute to a collaborative, high-performance sales cultureSkills1–3 years of sales, customer-facing, hospitality, or business development experienceStrong communication and interpersonal skillsComfortable making outbound calls and engaging new prospectsHighly organized with strong follow-throughCompetitive mindset and strong work ethicAbility to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environmentRestaurant, hospitality, retail, or customer service experienceSaaS, fintech, payments, or technology sales exposureFamiliarity with Salesforce or CRM systemsExperience working in team-oriented environmentsBenefitsHealth insurance401kPTOCompany OverviewUpserve is the smart management assistant that puts everything restaurateurs need to know in one place.
