Questex is a leading global events, media, and business information company, and they are seeking a Business Development Manager for their Healthcare & Life Sciences group. The role involves managing and developing a sales territory, participating in sales strategy, and contributing to new revenue opportunities while maintaining strong client relationships.ResponsibilitiesMeets or exceeds forecasted sales (digital, marketing services, trade show/conference platforms)Satisfies the needs of clients using a consultative selling style while being personable, professional and accommodating in mannerDevelops a thorough understanding of the market and culture in order to attract new customers/businessPerforms extensive research on marketplace developing lists of new prospects and lists of existing accounts (tiered) for follow-up processConfers with sales management and other sales staff to develop growth opportunitiesMaintains strong industry credibility through visible attendance at trade shows and other product presentations, staying updated on new developments and technologies and communicating this information to both key existing accounts and potential new accountsIdentifies and/or maximizes the sales opportunity for assigned properties in assigned tier of customer categories and determines actions to be taken on certain tier accountsGenerates direct sales from cold calling, follow up calling and face-to-face meetingsMaintains and utilizes Salesforce database for all client contact and scheduling.
