They are seeking a Business Development Manager to develop and manage the business development and marketing strategy for assigned practices and industry groups, focusing on driving new business and raising the firm's profile.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and monitor market and client research to identify opportunities from emerging trends, challenges, and legal needs within the marketplaceCollaborate with leadership and key partners to identify expansion opportunities and develop cross-selling initiatives by matching firm solutions to client needsDevelop marketing and business development initiatives and projects for CXT by leveraging the firmwide strategic plan, tracking OKRs and ROI on initiatives, priorities and goalsDevelop and maintain a robust understanding of group’s key clients, acting as a trusted advisor to group leads and lawyersPosition and draft appropriate content in collateral and marketing materials, including matter and group descriptions that are appropriate for use in pitches, client-facing work product and on firm website as appropriateDevelop an in-depth understanding of the experience within CXT to identify potential synergies for existing clients as well as new prospects. Oversee the maintenance of experience records within Foundation for use in proposals and other client-facing work productTrack and report on business development metrics, client engagement activities, and revenue performance against plan, providing insights and recommendations for improvementAlongside the Proposal team, compile tailored proposals to win new clients and expand work with existing clientsIn collaboration across the department, ensure that thought leadership is leveraged across distribution channels including internal communications and social mediaTogether with the Events team, oversee educational, networking, and client events in alignment with assigned group business plans and go-to-market strategy. Drive post-event ROIServe as an advisor and lead initiative qualifying conversations with lawyers to ensure initiatives support the firm's strategic plans and objectivesContribute to special projects and strategic initiatives as directed by various leadership stakeholdersAct as a connector across internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of the Firm's capabilitiesOther duties as assignedSkills4-year degree with major coursework in marketing, communications, or related field; or combination of education and commensurate work experience required7+ years of solid marketing and business development experience at progressing levels throughout career.
