The Business Development Manager - FDH Electronics will drive revenue growth by managing the sales process for assigned accounts, building customer relationships, and delivering tailored solutions to meet client needs.ResponsibilitiesOwn the end-to-end sales process within assigned accounts in geography / territory. Drive revenue and sales growth at assigned accounts through building customer relationships and identifying needsManage accounts by qualifying / understanding account needs, recommending FDH solutions that meet their needs, working with ISRs to prepare quotes, negotiating / closing opportunities, troubleshooting, and fulfilling ordersAchieve the annual sales quota for assigned accountsEstablish new customer relationships while maintaining ongoing relationships to develop additional business opportunitiesPromote and increase sales through customer negotiation of product packages, technical support, opportunity management, and direct component and subsystem level salesAssess customer information to anticipate changes that could affect sales revenues and budget plans; update rolling forecast monthly and report on variancesMonitor and maintain profitability with assigned accounts consistent with overall division strategy. Proactively manage changing landscape of product costsConduct regular visits to current and potential clients to build relationships and understand their needsConduct Annual Planning meetings and Quarterly Reviews with assigned accounts to achieve objectives and drive growth in accountsMaintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status in CRM systemsAddress customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure customer satisfactionSkillsA bachelor's degree preferred, plus 5 + years field sales experience in the Military Electronics IndustryExperience interacting with vendors and customers in a technical and engineering environmentExperience preparing comprehensive internal quarterly business reviews (QBR), presenting strategic plans and implementation steps to grow sales, demand creation and improve customer service, and ability to lead regular QBRs with major customers that unlock additional sales opportunitiesExcellent communication skills, preferably in several languages, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and IT fluencyAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task and succeed in a highly matrixed work environmentAbility to travel extensively in the Region (travel up to 50%)Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans, achieve revenue targets, and drive business growth in a competitive market environmentAbility to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertaintyProficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointCurrent or recent industry experience and knowledge of the assigned market/territory (e.g., customers, competition)Experience developing sales strategyProven ability to articulate complex strategies and able to execute on themU.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) requiredITAR RequirementSome positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirementsBenefitsMedical, dental, vision insuranceFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)401k matchingWellness activitiesCompany OverviewFDH Aero is a distributor of c-class hardware and replacement parts to commercial and defense aircraft manufacturers.
