The primary responsibility of this role is to identify business problems, gather requirements, and document data solutions while collaborating with various teams to support data development and maintenance efforts aligned with the Enterprise Data strategy.ResponsibilitiesReviews, analyzes, and creates detailed documentation of business rules and data needsCoordinates discussions with business/stakeholders and cross functional/technical teams to capture and review use cases, requirements, and other technical documents to ensure all business requirements are accurately reflected and accounted for (including data lineage and transformations)Collaborates with developers and architects to define and document the data solution to meet needs outlined in the business rules and needsResponsible for obtaining business/stakeholder approval, which passes audit scrutiny, for data solutions delivered in a production stateDocuments data ingestion, transformation, and consumption including workflows, data models, data classification, and steps required to curate trusted dataResponsible for ensuring all documentation reflects the current state and outstanding issues so that business requirements reflect proper state of dataSupport the cloud data framework that aligns with the Enterprise Data Strategy, policies, and organizational goalsEnsures that the delivered data and processes fulfill the documented business rules and data needsEnsure that all items follow company change management processPresents documentation of business rules, data needs, technical documentation, and data modelsChampions department standards for documentation and ensures that all assigned projects meet compliance and can withstand audit scrutinyPeer Reviews documentation of business rules, data needs, technical documentation, and data modelsLeads discussions with business/stakeholders and cross functional/technical team collaborationProvides guidance in QA work when requested so the appropriate level of testing is planned and executedMaintains a calm and composed demeanor and brings disparate viewpoints to a place of mutual understanding through skilled negotiation and diplomacy.
