[Remote] Business Analyst (W2 Contract only/ No 3rd Parties)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CBTS is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a large-scale child welfare technology environment. The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business needs are effectively translated into system requirements and technical solutions.ResponsibilitiesDevelop a thorough understanding of agency mission, vision, goals, user groups, business processes, workflows, and supporting systemsAnalyze business operations and identify opportunities for process improvements and technology-driven solutionsWork closely with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business, functional, and non-functional requirementsCreate and maintain business analysis artifacts including: Business requirements documents (BRDs), Functional requirements, User stories, Wireframes and conceptual designs, Process workflows, Traceability matrices, Test plans and testing documentationTranslate business requirements into technical specifications and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersCollaborate daily with software development, quality assurance, systems support, and project management teamsParticipate in project planning, resource planning, issue management, and status reportingFacilitate meetings with customers, stakeholders, and management to provide project updates and gather feedbackEnsure business and user needs are met through timely and accurate delivery of solutionsSupport system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and quality assurance activitiesAssist in developing technical standards, procedures, policies, and best practicesWork with project managers to ensure compliance with project schedules, governance standards, and implementation methodologiesContribute to strategic planning, process improvement initiatives, and client relationship managementSkillsBachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Strong experience as a Business Analyst within enterprise application environmentsExpertise in business analysis methodologies and documentation standardsExperience creating: Wireframes, Functional and non-functional requirements, User stories, Business process workflows, Traceability matrices, Testing documentationStrong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environmentsKnowledge of IT governance frameworks, project implementation methodologies, and business process improvement practicesStrong communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work effectively with cross-functional teams and large project organizationsCompany OverviewCBTS provides end-to-end IT and communications solutions that allow businesses to improve efficiency, enable innovation, and mitigate risk.
