[Remote] Business analyst - Financial Consolidation & Reporting

Kaygen, Inc. is seeking a highly analytical and technical Business Analyst to serve as a vital liaison between corporate Accounting/Controllership users and global IT infrastructure teams. The role involves supporting, troubleshooting, and building reporting architectures within SAP BPC while assisting in the strategic migration to SAP Group Reporting.ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary technical point of contact and liaison between corporate Accounting & Finance users and IT for all BPC Planning and Consolidation application issues, custom enhancements, and process improvementRapidly analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex BPC application bugs, data discrepancies, and workflow failurePrioritize and manage system incident resolutions under tight deadlines aligned with critical month-end close, quarterly forecasting, and annual reporting timelinesSupport, modify, and enhance BPC Consolidation reporting pipelines, including Audit, Management, and Ad-Hoc leadership reportingValidate consolidated financial results for absolute accuracy and completeness before final closing windowPartner with Corporate Accounting to scale, clean, and enhance complex reporting structures, account hierarchies, and cost centersGather, document, and translate complex business needs from accountants into clear, actionable technical functional specifications for IT developersSupport end-to-end system testing, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate financial data integrityPerform meticulous data reconciliations between BPC, SAP S/4HANA, and adjacent financial data warehouses to maintain consistent financial master dataProvide critical BPC domain expertise during global design and gap-analysis discussionsThoroughly document current-state legacy processes, data models, and old reporting structures to ensure no data is lost during the moveActively participate in the testing, verification, and balance reconciliation efforts during the migration from legacy BPC Consolidation to SAP Group ReportingSkillsMinimum 6+ years of progressive experience as an IT Business Analyst or Systems Analyst embedded within a corporate Finance/Accounting divisionA robust, non-negotiable understanding of corporate financial close cycles, multi-entity accounting consolidation, and corporate reporting structuresHands-on experience on the technical support side of SAP BPC (not just utilizing the tool as a data entry user).
