[Remote] Banking Operations Analyst

They are seeking a Banking Operations Analyst to manage financial operations, ensuring timely provider payments and compliance with financial regulations. The role involves overseeing cash flow, payment processing, and serving as a liaison with financial institutions and vendors.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and manage program bank accounts, balances, and transaction activityEnsure adequate funding for all provider payments, capitation runs, and refundsInitiate or approve ACH, EFT, wire transfers, and other disbursements including automated transfersWork closely with the clientโs treasury or accounting teams to coordinate fund drawsOversee automated and manual payment cyclesEnsure payments to providers are accurate, timely, and in compliance with federal/state rulesResolve payment failures or returned transactionsManage stop-payments, reissues, voids, and stale-dated checksPerform or oversee daily, weekly, and monthly bank account reconciliationsReconcile payment files, EFT batches, and claim payment reportsIdentify and resolve reconciliation discrepancies promptlyProduce financial reports required by the funding agency, internal audit, or external auditorsMaintain internal controls related to:Segregation of dutiesAuthorization checkpointsFraud detectionSystem access for financial modulesPrepare or support compliance with:State and Federal financial guidelines as applicableAudit requirements (internal, external, SOC, etc.)Serve as the primary contact with:Banks (EFT/ACH issues, file format changes, account setup)Client fiscal offices (funding approvals, reporting)Payment processors / clearinghousesCoordinate testing and implementation of banking file formats, e.g., NACHA, BAI2, CTXRead, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security RulesSkillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (contractually required)5+ years of experience in treasury operations, cash management, or payment processingStrong background in bank reconciliations, ACH/EFT processing, and financial reportingExperience working with banks, payment processors, and clearinghousesFamiliarity with state and federal financial compliance requirementsProficiency in banking file formats (e.g., NACHA, BAI2, CTX)Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems or ERP platformsKnowledge of internal controls and audit processesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyCertified Treasury Professional (CTP) or CPA designationExperience in healthcare or government-funded programsKnowledge of SOC audit requirements and financial compliance frameworksBenefitsComprehensive health plansPaid time offRetirement savingsCorporate wellnessEducational assistanceCorporate discountsCompany OverviewAcentra Health is a provider of clinical services and technological solutions to government healthcare organizations.
