[Remote] Azure Cloud Migration Engineer

They are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Migration Engineer to lead the design, planning, and execution of enterprise-scale cloud migration initiatives on Microsoft Azure, ensuring secure and cost-optimized solutions.ResponsibilitiesDesign end‑to‑end Azure architectures including compute, networking, identity, storage, security, and governanceDevelop cloud reference architectures, landing zones, and reusable patterns aligned with Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)Define migration strategies (rehost, refactor, replatform, rearchitect) based on application assessments and business requirementsStrong background in Windows and Linux System AdministrationLead and execute migrations of VMs, applications, databases, and workloads from on‑premises or other clouds into AzureBuild and automate migration pipelines using tools such as Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Database Migration Service, and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC)Perform environment provisioning, configuration, and validation across dev/test/prod environmentsDevelop IaC using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templatesAutomate deployment, configuration, and operational tasks using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or PowerShellImplement CI/CD pipelines for cloud infrastructure and application deploymentsImplement Azure security best practices including RBAC, managed identities, network segmentation, encryption, and policy enforcementConfigure Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Sentinel, and cost‑management controlsEnsure compliance with organizational and industry standardsWork closely with application owners, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to define migration roadmapsProvide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering teamsDocument architectures, runbooks, and operational proceduresSkillsBachelors degree and 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering or architecture, with at least 3 years focused on Microsoft AzureProven experience leading large-scale cloud migrationsStrong knowledge of Azure services: VMs, VNets, NSGs, Storage, AKS, App Services, Azure AD, Key Vault, Load Balancers, Firewalls, etcHands-on experience with IaC (Terraform/Bicep/ARM)Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)Experience with DevOps tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins)Solid understanding of networking, identity, and security principlesCompTIA Security + CE or other qualifying 8140 certificationMust have an active Secret clearanceUS Citizenship is requiredAzure certifications such as: AZ-305: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AZ-104: Azure Administrator, AZ-700: Network Engineer, AZ-500: Security EngineerExperience with hybrid cloud and on-premises integrationsBenefitsDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.Telecommute Options: Remote work allowed 100%Company OverviewPeraton Fearlessly solving the toughest national security challenges.
