[Remote] AVP, Financial Reporting

The AVP, Financial Reporting will oversee US GAAP financial reporting processes, manage group consolidations, and act as a liaison with auditors while ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial standards.ResponsibilitiesOversee and prepare group consolidations in support of quarter- and year-end closeSupport the US GAAP external and internal reporting process including the preparation of annual US GAAP financial statements, management discussion and analysis, and any presentation for internal and external parties including but not limited to the Disclosure Committee, Audit Committee, Board, Investors, Banks, as well as Rating AgenciesPrepare the financial reporting requirements for any Debt IssuanceEnsure all controls and government processes in accordance with company and industry standards are being followed and accurately recordedAssist with the maintenance and on-going development of the internal control framework as it relates to financial and statutory reportingParticipate in process improvement and other ad hoc projects as requiredAct as a key liaison with internal and external auditors on work related to financial reportingSignificant interaction and coordination with the actuarial, investments and tax teamsSkillsUniversity degree in accounting or financeInternationally recognized accounting designation (CPA) and a minimum of 7 years of relevant post-qualification experience within insurancePrevious experience in financial reporting is requiredWorking knowledge of US GAAP reporting standards.
