REMOTE Anti-Trust Senior Associate

JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a skilled, motivated, and ambitious Senior Associate with a passion for mission-driven work to join our dynamic legal team focusing on plaintiff-side antitrust and competition matters. The Senior Associate will take an active and leading role in class and/or individual cases involving complex legal issues, frequently including coordinated MDL (or similar) proceedings. Candidates must possess excellent research and writing skills, experience taking depositions and arguing contested motions, and an interest in and ability to develop new cases. Essential Duties and Responsibilities A successful Senior Associate must satisfactorily perform these general categories of duties, which require significant discretion and independent judgment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: β€’ Evaluating new cases; preparing and reviewing case proposals β€’ Conducting legal research β€’ Developing and recommending case strategy β€’ Drafting motions and briefs in file-ready form β€’ Overseeing filing process for motions and briefs β€’ Preparing, finalizing, and serving stipulations, discovery letters, joint statements, and proposed orders β€’ Corresponding with co-counsel, opposing counsel, court personnel, and clients as necessary β€’ Drafting, propounding, reviewing, and responding to discovery; managing discovery disputes β€’ Preparing for and taking/defending depositions β€’ Attending and participating in mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings β€’ Attending and/or leading team and firm meetings β€’ Adhering to all deadlines (internal and court mandated) β€’ Administrative duties as they relate to the practice of law Qualifications: **To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.** Education and/or Experience: β€’ 5-8 Years of Litigation Experience β€’ CA Bar Admission Preferred β€’ Microsoft Office proficiency β€’ Experience handling antitrust and/or competition-related complex litigation. β€’ Ability and desire to run your own cases independently with minor supervision. β€’ Experience drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and formulating case strategies. β€’ Trial experience or MDL/JCCP involvement a plus.
