The role involves leading cash reconciliation processes, overseeing a team, and driving strategic initiatives to improve cash management across various departments.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the monthly cash reconciliation process, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely resolution of reconciling items in line with corporate policies and proceduresOversee reconciliation of high-volume cash activity, including:Accounts Payable disbursementsPremium billing and cash receiptsClaims payments and related clearing accountsEstablish and maintain strong governance over balance sheet accounts, including monitoring aged reconciling items and escalation protocolsLead cross-functional initiatives impacting cash flow and reconciliation processes, partnering with AP, Billing, Claims, Treasury, and ITIdentify and implement process improvements, including automation, standardization, and system enhancements to reduce manual effort and riskEnsure compliance with internal controls, Model Audit Rule (MAR) requirements, and audit readiness expectationsDevelop reporting and dashboards to provide visibility into reconciliation status, exceptions, and key cash metricsManage, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals; set clear performance expectations and drive accountabilitySupport strategic projects impacting enterprise cash processes, including system implementations, integrations, and policy changesRole responsibilities also include managing Unclaimed Property and ASO customer reporting and supportSkillsBachelor's Degree6 or more years of accounting compliance experience2 or more years of management experienceProgressive financial and accounting analysis experienceStrong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controlsExperience leading process improvements and large-scale projectsCPA or equivalent certificationExperience in healthcare, insurance, or managed care environmentsKnowledge of premium billing, claims payment cycles, or treasury operationsExperience with reconciliation tools (e.g., BlackLine) and data analytics / Power BIBenefitsBonus incentive planMedical, dental and vision benefits401(k) retirement savings planTime off (including paid time off, company and personal holidays, volunteer time off, paid parental and caregiver leave)Short-term and long-term disabilityLife insuranceCompany OverviewHumana is a health insurance provider for individuals, families, and businesses.
