Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield is seeking an Actuary Consultant (ASA) to serve as a technical expert for medium to complex projects. The role involves developing strategies, performing advanced actuarial analyses, and assisting in departmental objectives while mentoring less experienced staff.ResponsibilitiesServe as internal consultant and SME for assigned markets. Lead and manage moderate to complex analyses working collaboratively with leadership and assigned groups. Develop plans for execution of mid-size engagementsDevelop and analyze actuarial and related items and data relating to pricing, experience analysis, or product development. Develop and recommend actuarial assumptions and methods. Monitor and revise existing analytical proceduresPrepare actuarial justification and communications as appropriate. Research, develop and validate methodologies to identify areas of actuarial opportunity.
