Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. UK HealthCare is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Financial Analyst to oversee and enhance the Accounts Payable function. This role involves validating outputs, directing work priorities, and leading analytics and benchmarking efforts to support leadership decision-making and process improvements.ResponsibilitiesAccountable for validating analyst outputs, directing work priorities, and ensuring the effectiveness of controls, reporting, and process improvements across the Accounts Payable functionLeads Accounts Payable analytics and benchmarking efforts, including development and analysis of key performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting to support leadership decision-making and period-end close activitiesAnalyzes invoice exceptions, spend patterns, and vendor payment activity to identify trends, anomalies, and discount opportunities, and proactively resolves payment issues impacting invoice settlementLeads quality assurance and compliance activities through routine invoice audits, duplicate payment reviews, and preparation of monthly reports for managementLeads process improvement initiatives and special projects, partnering with AP Operations, Information Technology, and other enterprise stakeholders to optimize invoice workflows, automation, and controls, and supports implementation of new processes, systems, and strategic initiatives as assigned by leadershipProvides day-to-day functional leadership and work direction to AP Financial Analysts, including prioritization, problem-solving guidance, and knowledge sharingReviews analyst outputs and provides feedback to improve accuracy, consistency, and analytical qualityServes as a resource for complex questions and promotes standardization of processes and best practicesReinforces accountability and ownership within the analyst team through ongoing guidance and supportSkillsBS4 years of related experienceNone required for license/registration/certificationSitting for extended periods of time occasional travel to/from HealthCare business offices in Lexington, KYFinancial Analysis and critical thinkingAttention to detail and control orientationAbility to translate data into executive insightsProcess improvement mindsetStrong communication and problem-solving skillsLeadershipBachelor's Degree + 4 Years Experience in Healthcare Accounting and/or Accounts PayableCompany OverviewUK HealthCare is the hospital that offers academic health care, research, education and clinical care at the University of Kentucky.
