[Remote] Accounts Payable Specialist

The role involves reviewing, processing, and approving invoices, check requests, and expense reports while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.ResponsibilitiesReview and authorize electronically submitted invoices and check requests, ensuring appropriate documentation and approvals are providedPartner with internal departments to ensure accurate invoice submission and processingReview and approve employee expense reports, ensuring all required documentation is attachedEvaluate invoices, expense reports, and payment requests for compliance with company policies and internal controlsPrepare, review, and import high-volume vendor invoices using Excel spreadsheets into the Accounts Payable systemProcess vendor payments accurately and on timeResearch and resolve payment and reimbursement issuesReview stale-dated checks and coordinate stop payments, voids, and reissuance as neededAssist with audits, 1099 reporting, vendor communications, month-end close, and year-end processesRespond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payment statusMaintain organized and accurate accounts payable documentation and recordsPerform additional duties as assignedSkillsHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or related accounting rolesVendor management experience requiredStrong Excel skillsAbility to independently research, analyze, and resolve discrepanciesStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environmentAccurate and efficient 10-key data entry skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other business software applicationsExperience in consumer mortgage banking or financial services environmentsExperience with invoice processing or enterprise accounting softwarePrior experience with Concur is a plusCompany OverviewSuna Solutions is a staffing and recruiting company offering temporary staffing services.
