[Remote] Accounting Senior Manager

The Accounting Senior Manager will oversee all aspects of revenue accounting, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and collaborating with various teams to enhance revenue processes and reporting accuracy.ResponsibilitiesInterpret and apply ASC 606 to complex, multi‑element arrangements, subscription models, variable consideration, and contract modificationsReview and approve revenue treatment for customer contracts, ensuring accurate timing and classification of revenueMaintain and update revenue policies to reflect business changes, new products, and evolving accounting standardsPrepare and review revenue recognition technical memoranda and documentationLead the revenue close process, including reviewing journal entries, deferred revenue analysis, and reconciliationsIdentify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvement to shorten close timelinesWork closely with Sales and Legal teams to review terms before contract execution and guide deal structuring decisionsCollaborate with FP&A to ensure accurate forecasting of revenue and deferred balancesProvide global revenue accounting guidance to regional accounting teams to ensure consistency across geographiesPartner with Product, Engineering, and Pricing teams to assess revenue implications of new offeringsOwn and execute key SOX controls related to revenue recognitionPrepare audit documentation and coordinate with external auditors during quarterly and annual auditsStrengthen the company’s control environment by ensuring complete, accurate, and well‑supported revenue processesSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5–8+ years of experience in revenue recognition, technical accounting, or audit (including 3 years of supervisory experience)Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and related technical accounting requirementsExperience with complex, global revenue arrangementsExcellent analytical, organizational, and time management skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to multitask and lead teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentDetail oriented, good judgment and logical decision-making ability with a hands-on approachCPAExperience in SaaS, technology, or multi‑product global companiesPrior experience with Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Oracle, CognosCompany OverviewSolera is the global leader in vehicle lifecycle management software-as-a-service, data, and services.
