The role involves teaching students, developing professionally, establishing effective working relationships, and encouraging student enrollment.ResponsibilitiesTeach students the doctrines and principles of the gospel as found in the scriptures and the words of the prophetsTeach in a way that leads to understanding and edificationUse approved curriculum and materialsTeach the number of classes recommended by policy in consultation with the area directorAccept faculty assignmentsObserve classroom teaching and provide helpful feedback to teachersStrive for continual professional growthProvide useful information and respect the priesthood leader’s timeEstablish clear and consistent methods of communicationWork closely with priesthood leaders in identifying and enrolling all potential studentsCultivate a learning environment of love, respect, and purpose in your classroomSeminary instructors are expected to work the time necessary to accomplish their assigned teaching and administrative responsibilitiesThose in a trimester system should teach four of the five trimester classes each trimesterThose in the eight-period block system should teach six of the eight classes each semesterThose in a seven-period day should teach a minimum of six classesWhen possible, the student to teacher ratio should be approximately 150-180 to oneIt is recommended that there be no more than thirty-five students per classSkills(Seminary) Bachelor's degree from an approved and accredited institution of higher learning, the successful completion of meticulous religious teacher training (preservice) and student teaching(Institute) Master's degree from an approved and accredited institution of higher learning, the successful completion of meticulous religious teacher training (preservice) and student teachingBe a worthy and active member of the Church and hold a current temple recommendExhibit a testimony of the Savior and His restored gospelExemplify Church teachings regarding marriage and family lifeHave and maintain a reputation of meeting financial commitmentsRelate to and be able to manage a classroom of teenagersDemonstrate outstanding scripture-teaching skills both face-to-face and onlineCompany OverviewTrabalhar na Igreja significa que você será parte de uma equipe na qual pessoas diferentes compartilham o amor pelo evangelho de Jesus Cristo.
