[Remote] Accounting Manager

The role involves managing monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activities while ensuring compliance with internal controls and US GAAP standards.ResponsibilitiesManage, coordinate, and lead a team in monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activitiesOversee day-to-day accounting activities and ensure compliance with internal controlsOversee key accounting areas and review key reconciliations and rollforwardsEnsure accurate and timely reporting of financial results in accordance with US GAAP and global accounting policiesEnsure proper accounting standards and controls are applied and in compliance with internal controls, e.g., journal entry review, general ledger account reconciliation review, analytic review of monthly results including detailed analysisEnsure account reconciliations are timely, properly prepared and reviewedEnsure appropriate procedures are documented and in place to analytically review key account fluctuations and follow up as appropriateAssist with quarterly and annual internal/external audit requests and liaison with external auditorsEnsure audit requests are addressed timelyIdentify and implement process improvements and automation to reduce close time while maintaining accounting integrity and accuracyPartner with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and solve problemsSkills5+ years of accounting experience at big 4 accounting firms and/or public companiesStrong problem solving and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to set priorities, handle multiple tasks, and deliver results in a fast paced and dynamic environment with the desire for continuous improvementAdvanced Excel skillsCPA is requiredTeam leadership experience managing accounting close activities (monthly, quarterly, year-end)US GAAP compliance knowledge – Must ensure accurate financial reporting and application of accounting standardsAdvanced Excel and manual calculation skills – Must demonstrate ability to perform and validate calculations without reliance on automated systemsExperience with NetSuite is strongly preferredExperience with Blackline is a plusTech industry backgroundCompany OverviewThis page is owned and operated by Viral Audience.
