They are looking for a forward-thinking Digital Accountant to join their Finance team, focusing on automation and technology in accounting processes while managing vendor relationships and financial reporting.ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate vendor master data and manage the full vendor onboarding processHandle vendor requests, portals, and communications in a timely and professional mannerOversee end-to-end accounts payable operations, including invoice processing and procure-to-pay workflowsPrepare and process payment proposals, ensuring accuracy and timely executionManage foreign currency payments and apply foreign currency valuation principlesMaintain a strong understanding of provisions and payment terms across entitiesPerform regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies proactivelyCoordinate and evaluate balance sheet accounts, managing reconciliations and provisions with accuracySupport monthly financial statement preparation through ongoing bookkeeping and accrual accountingMaintain a strong focus on VAT compliance across European and UK entities, ensuring all tax regulations are met and properly documentedHandle accrual accounting, amortizations, and foreign currency valuationAssist in preparing and analyzing year-end financial statements, contributing to audit readiness and overall financial complianceParticipate in finance projects to enhance and streamline processes, keeping documentation up to dateSupport and manage Yokoy and Zip credit card processes, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and reconciliationAct as a point of contact for employees on expense and credit card policy questionsDrive process improvements and maintain documentation for credit card workflowsActively participate in and lead data-heavy, technology-focused accounting initiativesWork with AI and automation tools to streamline reconciliation, reporting, and compliance workflowsCollaborate with the wider Finance and Engineering teams to evaluate and implement new financial toolsDocument processes and help train team members on updated systems and workflowsSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field3-5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a SaaS or international environment with a focus on AP and VATExcellent knowledge of per diem and reimbursement regulations across multiple countriesWorking experience with bookkeeping, including payroll and/or business expensesHands-on experience with AP, P2P, and business expense tools such as Yokoy, Concur, or ExpensifyProficient in NetSuite and advanced Excel / Google SheetsStrong understanding of VAT regulations and cross-border tax considerationsStrong affinity for technology and software; first ERP experience required (NetSuite, SAP, or Dynamics)Highly organized with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesSolid decision-making skills and the ability to assess multiple options and identify the best course of actionAttention to detail and a commitment to accuracyInternational mindset with strong English communication and writing skills; German is a strong plusEnjoys training and walking team members through processes and toolsGood project management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrates AI literacy, with the ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, decision-making, and quality of work while applying sound judgment and critical thinkingAustrian Bilanzbuchhalter qualification (or active willingness to obtain it) strongly preferredBenefitsMonthly remote work stipend (home internet costs, electricity).
