The Account Manager (Clinical) role involves building relationships with key stakeholders, managing the sales cycle for small to mid-sized accounts, and driving customer satisfaction and revenue growth in the clinical diagnostics segment.ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders across your assigned account portfolioOwn net new account growth within small to mid-sized accounts, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closePartner closely with your outside sales counterpart to support joint accounts and ensure a coordinated, seamless customer experienceDevelop and execute account plans focused on retention, expansion, and long-term partnership developmentIdentify and pursue upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities within existing accountsLead renewal discussions and support contract negotiations to drive continued customer success and revenue growthUnderstand customer business objectives and challenges, positioning Velsera solutions to support their goalsFacilitate regular business reviews and stakeholder meetings to communicate value, outcomes, and future opportunitiesPartner cross-functionally with Customer Success, Professional Services, Product, and Support teams to address customer needsMaintain accurate pipeline activity, account planning, forecasting, and renewal tracking in SalesforceDevelop and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and business reviews tailored to customer needsStay current on Velsera's product portfolio and the broader clinical genomics and diagnostics landscapeMonitor industry trends and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities and strengthen Velsera's positionRepresent Velsera at industry conferences and events as neededTravel may be required up to 30%Skills3+ years of experience in a quota-carrying sales, account management, or business development roleDemonstrated success managing and growing a book of business, including net new account acquisitionStrong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage decision-makers effectively in a remote/virtual selling environmentAbility to manage a high-volume pipeline, prioritize across accounts, and drive opportunities to closeCollaborative mindset with experience working alongside field or outside sales counterparts to support shared accountsProficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and standard business productivity toolsExperience in healthcare, clinical laboratory, genetics/genomics, or life sciencesFamiliarity with SaaS or data solutions in a clinical or research contextBachelor's degreeBenefitsA full-suite of industry-leading benefits (list by location)Remote work flexibilityCompany OverviewVelsera is a consolidation of three companies within digital diagnostics, bioinformatics, healthcare data, and advanced analytics.
