[Remote] Account Development Manager

They are seeking an Account Development Manager responsible for driving direct and distribution channel sales of company products in the Mid-Atlantic territory, focusing on new account sales of 2-way wireless water AMI networks.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for direct sales and distribution channel sales of Sensus products and solutions within the assigned South Florida territoryDevelop new customer relationships and identify growth opportunities within municipal, contractor, and distributor channels, with a strong emphasis on new name account acquisitionManage and grow existing customer accounts to optimize sales performance and long-term profitabilityLead the full sales cycle, including prospecting, customer engagement, product presentations, demonstrations, pricing, quotations, and closing activitiesProvide technical and administrative product support to customers, prospects, and channel partnersDevelop and implement territory sales strategies aligned with company growth objectivesCoordinate and support local distributor channel activities to maximize market coverage and sales effectivenessMaintain detailed market and customer knowledge to identify trends, competitive activity, and new business opportunitiesUtilize Salesforce.com and Microsoft Windows-based applications to manage customer activity, sales opportunities, and reportingTravel regularly throughout the territory, including overnight travel as neededSkillsBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferredMinimum of 5 years of sales experience in technical, complex, or solution-based productsDemonstrated ability to understand technical aspects of water measurement, including electronic instrumentation and AMI networksExperience selling into municipal, contractor, or distributor markets preferred, particularly with metering and AMI productsStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Windows applications and Salesforce.com or similar CRM platformsAbility to travel up to 75%Must reside within the Mid-Atlantic territoryProven success in new business development and territory growthAbility to work effectively across direct and indirect sales channelsStrong presentation and product demonstration skillsResults-oriented with the ability to develop and execute strategic sales plansBenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision plans401(k) with company contributionPaid time offPaid parental leaveTuition reimbursementPaid Volunteer Program, Xylem WatermarkCompany OverviewXylem is the global leader in advanced technologies, solutions and services that address the world’s biggest water challenges.
