Reinsurance Placement Assistant
About the position We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in Atlanta, GA. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. This role is responsible for coordinating all placement support activities for assigned accounts, contributing to the creation, review, and assessment of data and related exhibits while providing support to account team members both onsite and remotely. This role monitors key activities throughout the reinsurance placement process to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory guidelines, facilitating efficient pre-placement, placement, and post-placement services for Brokers and Clients. Responsibilities • Review and update annual renewal exhibits based on client data submitted during the placement/renewal process, providing analysis of trends and potential data issues. • Learn and navigate company systems for setting up/renewing programs, creating submissions, selecting approved markets, and managing quotes and authorizations. • Track the placement status of assigned accounts and follow up with brokers for necessary updates and information. • Communicate with clients and/or markets during the placement process as needed. • Draft and secure broker sign-off on renewal requests, marketing lists, placement updates, and post-placement communications using company templates and disclaimers. • Assist brokers by researching financial statements, product lines, geographic exposures, and current reinsurance program information. • Interface with other departments to provide client data for modeling, research claim or premium issues, and facilitate contract negotiation. • Manage contract documents by reviewing and ensuring all executed documents are obtained and tracked appropriately. Requirements • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency in formulas, charts, and graphs. • Strong analytical abilities to interpret results and draw relevant conclusions for review by others. • Excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships with clients, reinsurers, and internal teams. • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. • Proactive in identifying and anticipating recurring tasks, while effectively prioritizing workload based on volume and urgency. Nice-to-haves • 3+ years in an insurance, reinsurance, or business production/placement supporting role. • Bachelor's degree and/or relevant professional designations • Proficient in Power BI and PowerPoint, with a strong orientation towards procedural compliance.
