Job Title: ServiceNow CMDB Consultant Location: Remote Long term contract Role 1: Implementing an RBAC Solution in ServiceNow ServiceNow skills needed include: Experience designing and implementing catalog items and Flow Designer flows. Previous IntegrationHub Spoke work completed with Active Directory through ServiceNow MID servers. Understanding of CI tables and relationships in the CMDB, for building RBAC role storage tables. Experience with writing and executing PowerShell scripts against Active Directory. Desired: Previous background in designing/developing/implementing a solution within ServiceNow that creates user account(s) and grants appropriate user group membership(s) to these account(s) via automation. Role 2: CMDB Container Discovery Solution ServiceNow skills needed include: Previous experience with ServiceNow CMDB, to include the Discovery product. Ability to modify schedules, execute Discovery runs, analyze results, and remediate issues/errors identified. Preferred: Prior work experience with a focus on the discovery of containers. Intermediate understanding of infrastructure containers and how they function, within the context of discovering container(s) for ingestion into the ServiceNow CMDB. Understanding of CI tables and relationships in the ServiceNow CMDB related to container discovery. Excellent interpersonal and clear communication skills Desired: Prior experience in setting up Service Graph Connectors or working with import sets/transforming data within the CMDB via the IRE. Role 3: CMDB/Tag-based Service Mapping ServiceNow skills needed include: Previous experience with ServiceNow CMDB, to include the Discovery and tag-based service mapping product(s). Basic to intermediate understanding of infrastructure components and how they function: Network devices, servers (Windows and Linux), and databases. Understanding of CI tables and relationships in the ServiceNow CMDB that are used to create mapping candidates using tag-based service mapping. Excellent interpersonal and clear communication skills. Will be interfacing with application owners and infrastructure teams. Ability to troubleshoot root cause(s) why tags may be missing from CIs in the CMDB or may be incorrect, ultimately leading to a mapping candidate being inaccurate/incomplete. As a result of this root cause analysis, working with infrastructure teams using service request(s) and/or direct interaction(s) to address tagging gaps. Re-factoring of application mapping candidates until such time as the mapping candidate reflects a full and accurate map and is ultimately approved by the associated application owner.
