Registered Dietitian – Functional Medicine | Remote | Part-Time to Full-Time

Root Cause Medical Clinic is a functional medicine practice on a mission to find and fix the why behind chronic illness — not just manage symptoms. We specialize in complex GI conditions, hormonal imbalances, autoimmune dysfunction, and chronic disease — using advanced lab testing, gut health analysis, and personalized treatment protocols to get to the root of what's keeping patients sick.
Our clinical approach goes beyond standard bloodwork. We run comprehensive metabolic panels, GI Map stool analysis, and food sensitivity testing, DUTCH hormone panels, and more — because real answers require real data. Our team of nurse practitioners, chiropractors, and dietitians works collaboratively to deliver personalized, root-cause care to patients across the country via telehealth.

The Role
We're looking for a licensed Registered Dietitian with a functional medicine mindset to join our clinical team. This is a remote, patient-facing position where your work directly impacts how people heal. You'll guide patients through elimination diets, food reintroduction, and sustainable lifestyle change — and you'll be doing it alongside clinicians who actually read labs deeply and care about outcomes.
What You'll Do
• Educate and coach patients on elimination diets, food reintroduction protocols, and long-term dietary strategy
• Work closely with NPs and DCs on complex GI cases including SIBO and hiatal hernia
• Interpret and discuss comprehensive panels, GI Map, and Wheat Zoomer testing (training provided)
• Build therapeutic relationships through direct patient messaging as part of treatment plans
• Contribute to a team that's genuinely committed to getting patients well
What We're Looking For
• Active RD license (required)
• Functional or integrative medicine background or strong interest in it
• Confident with elimination diet protocols and patient education
• Comfortable with or willing to learn specialty lab interpretation (GI Map, Wheat Zoomer, comp panels)
• Excellent communicator — in sessions and through written patient messaging
• Self-directed and reliable in a remote setting, can keep on schedule for a busy day
What We Offer
• $40–$50/hour based on experience and training
• Flexible remote schedule — 20+ hours/week
