Receptionist/ Scheduler / Insurance Verifier

• *Overview**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing appointments and ensuring smooth operations within our medical office. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a high level of professionalism. Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency is required to support effective communication with our diverse patient population.
• *Duties
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments; review daily calendar for add-ons and ensure efficient time slot utilization
• Verify insurance eligibility prior to scheduling patients
• Monitor and respond to emails in Outlook, including patient messages, provider communications, and eligibility inquiries
• Complete provider requests submitted through Signal and the EHR system
• Check and process incoming faxes regularly
• Conduct recall outreach for past-due patients and assist in scheduling future appointments
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in compliance with health information standards
• Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate care and follow-up visits
• Perform general administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and supply tracking
• *Qualifications
• Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
• Proficiency in phone systems and office software applications
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
• Experience as a medical receptionist or in health information management is a plus
