React Software Engineer
Branding Brand is searching for experienced, US-based React Engineers to help create mobile apps and sites for an international portfolio of high-profile brands in retail and hospitality. Ideal candidates are skilled in React and have API / web server experience. TypeScript, Node / AWS experience, and Native iOS, or Android knowledge is a plus.
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Work with senior developers and architects to produce world-class mobile e-commerce experiences used by over 10 million visitors a day
ā¢ Develop enterprise React applications
ā¢ Take web projects from mock-ups to completion
ā¢ Work closely with Designers, Quality Assurance Engineers, and Account/Project Managers to communicate status of projects
ā¢ Work with bug tracking/project management software suites
ā¢ Develop reusable components and frontend libraries for future use
ā¢ Learn our proprietary platform technology for mobile websites and apps, using the latest functionality in mobile innovations
ā¢ Contribute to the evolution of our technology
ā¢ Implement secure coding best practices
ā¢ Participate in ongoing security training and awareness
Qualifications:
ā¢ Strong background in React.js, Javascript, TypeScript, Node.js, and React Native
ā¢ Understanding of functional programming
ā¢ Ability to transform design mockups and wireframes into functional components
ā¢ Strong skill-set in creative problem solving
ā¢ A solid foundation in Computer Science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
ā¢ Experience with GraphQL and RESTful APIs
ā¢ Experience with Git source control
ā¢ Prior experience in test-driven development is a plus
ā¢ Prior experience in retail, healthcare or hospitality technology is a plus
ā¢ Prior experience in mobile e-commerce is a plus
ā¢ Experience with bash/command line is a plus
ā¢ Background in iOS and Android is a definite plus, but not required
