Quantitative Analytics Analyst

Carrington Capital Management, LLC is seeking a Quantitative Analytics Analyst to support their asset management business. The role involves using statistical methods and programming skills to analyze large mortgage data sets and design reports for portfolio monitoring.ResponsibilitiesSource, process, and organize large-scale datasets related to residential assets and macroeconomic indicatorsCollaborate with senior analysts/associates to enhance or extend proprietary modeling and analytics frameworksBuild, maintain, and present investor-facing and internal reports; field follow-up questions and refine analysesDevelop and deploy analytical tools to automate routine portfolio-management tasksCoordinate with CCM teams, servicing and lending divisions, and third-party vendors to keep projects movingRespond promptly and accurately to ad-hoc data and analysis requestsBuild rapport with enterprise-wide business leaders and collaborate on strategic business initiativesPerform other duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree with a major in a quantitative field such as mathematics, physics, statistics, computer science or engineeringSolid statistical foundation and proficiency in Python for large-scale data analysisProven ability to juggle multiple ad-hoc priorities with diligence and speedHighly motivated team player, quick learner, with excellent communication and organizational skillsA graduate degree is preferred but not required1–3 years of relevant experience at an investment bank or asset manager preferred; exceptional candidates with strong quantitative or programming skills will also be consideredExperience with machine-learning techniques and modern AI applications is highly desirableWorking knowledge of mortgage products is a plusFamiliarity with big-data infrastructures and cloud-based development is a plusComfortable working in Linux and cloud environments; Git version control and SQL skills are beneficialBenefitsAnnual BonusCompany OverviewCarrington Capital Management, LLC (CCM) is an alternative asset management firm focused on control-based investing in the US real estate, mortgage and fixed income markets.
