Dawson Civil is looking for an experienced Quality Control Technician to join our team!In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson Civil, working in a seasonal, full-time position of Quality Control Technician, reporting to the Manager of Quality. The Quality Control Technician will ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with legislation and customer specifications. Your base location will be Kamloops, BC and will require travel throughout our great province.WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKEConducting and coordinating inspections of work activities Generating daily reports for works completed, analysis of aggregates / asphaltMaintain accurate and detailed records in accordance with the QMSParticipate in all levels of the organization to continually improve process and proceduresManage incidents of non-conformanceRegular travel, as required, throughout jobsitesCommunicate effectively with the Ministry of Transportation (MoTI), stakeholders, crews, supervisors, and the general publicPreforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriateWHAT YOU BRINGMinimum two (2) years road and maintenance and/or construction experienceKnowledge and understanding of the MOTI specifications, Master Municipal Construction Documents (MMCD)Strong leadership skills, managerial experience and analytical skillsStrong communication and organizational skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Office SuitePREFERRED SKILLSA combination of Engineering technologist designation or similarKnowledge of ISO 9001:2015 QMS standardsBENEFITSLooking to be a key member of a well-established family-owned company?
