Job description: PeopleSoft Quality Assurance Engineer LeadWe have an excellent opportunity for a PeopleSoft Quality Assurance Engineer Lead to join our join our growing international Delivery Team.About the role:As a functional expert in PeopleSoft Payroll, the PeopleSoft Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer Lead plays a critical role within a cross-functional team responsible for delivering timely and accurate legislative updates. Reporting directly to the Director β PeopleSoft Development, this role ensures the quality and compliance of Payroll and Financials modules in line with evolving tax and regulatory requirements.Beyond legislative updates, the QA Engineer Lead also supports broader testing and quality assurance needs across PeopleSoft consulting projects and enhancement initiatives, contributing to the successful delivery of end-to-end solutions for our clients.This position requires the ability to manage a team as well as working with the Development Team to ensure that there is continuous process enhancement and improvement. As well as mentoring the QA Team to identify potential risks and issues early in the development cycle to mitigate the risk of delivering bugs to our clients.This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States.What youβll be doing:
Leading a team, and working beside them to design, review and execute comprehensive test plans and testing processes to validate system functionality and configurations
Ensure the team adheres to best practices and establishes testing standards that meet our clients' needs
Own the product quality through the entire process and ensure the team understands the expectations
Complete detailed test plans, execute tests, and record results in client environments
Collaborate with cross-functional team members, Product Owners, Functional and Technical analysts who work in an Agile Framework
Understand the scope and objectives of deliverables to ensure alignment with business and technical requirements
Support both Technical and Functional team members by providing insights and troubleshooting assistance during the testing phase
Identify opportunities for continual improvement in testing processes
Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with customers
Deliver exceptional service to clients by ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and with high-quality deliverables
Provide technical advice and insights to the Sales team to assist in the preparation of bids for new PeopleSoft customers
Develop, monitor, and refine processes and documentation to ensure the provision of a high-quality service to customers
Assist the Support team (PSEs) with complex support cases, offering expert guidance and troubleshooting assistance when needed.
What weβre looking for:To be successful in this role, you should have:
5 β 8 years of experience in a QA Engineer role within PeopleSoft or a combination with other ERP systems
Extensive functional knowledge and experience with PeopleSoft Payroll and/or Financials
2 β 3 years in a Lead capacity within a development team, preferred
Proven experience working in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners and Technical Analysts
Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, including designing, executing, and documenting test plans
Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal teams and clients
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to supporting teams in high-pressure environments
Ability to hire and mentor junior engineers collaborating with cross-functional teams.
