Quality Assurance Analyst - Remote (WFH)

Cognitive Medical Systems is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team and ensure that our digital products meet 508 compliance standards, uphold security protocols, and maintain overall quality. Position Overview: As a Quality Assurance Analyst with a focus on 508 compliance and security, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our digital products meet accessibility requirements outlined in Section 508, adhere to stringent security measures, and maintain high overall quality standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, project managers, and stakeholders to identify and report any issues related to accessibility, security, and quality. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough assessments of digital products to ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards, WCAG guidelines, and other relevant regulations. • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts specifically tailored to evaluate 508 compliance and security features. • Perform manual and automated testing to identify accessibility barriers, security vulnerabilities, and other quality issues. • Document and report test results, including detailed findings and recommendations for remediation. • Use issue tracking tools, software version control tools, requirement management tools in day-to-day work. • Collaborate with developers, Product Owner, and other stakeholders to prioritize and address identified issues in a timely manner. • Participate in design and code reviews to proactively identify potential accessibility and security concerns. • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory updates related to accessibility, security, and quality assurance. • Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on implementing accessibility and security best practices throughout the development lifecycle. • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, Agile environment. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). • 3-7 years of software testing experience including test automation and or infrastructure development, test planning, test case design, test methodologies. • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or similar role, with a focus on 508 compliance and security testing. • Strong understanding of Section 508 accessibility standards, WCAG guidelines, and related accessibility requirements. • Familiarity with security testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, JAWS, NVDA, Axe, etc. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. • Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical issues and recommendations to diverse audiences. • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
