QA Tester (Remote-Florida Only)

Position Summary: A QA Tester plays a vital role in supporting the AHS IT team's quality assurance initiatives. Collaborating closely with the team lead and fellow analysts, they ensure their work aligns with team standards while nurturing their professional development. Occasional travel may be required to monitor client and customer interactions and observe call center operations. This position is remote in Florida only. Responsibilities: • Adhering to company and project standards and guidelines. • Analyzing requirements and acceptance criteria. • Prepare comprehensive and detailed test cases in collaboration with the team. • Executing test cases to verify software functionality. • Logging defects with clear and informative details for developers to reproduce and resolve. • Conducting functional, system, and regression testing. • Providing accurate work estimates for assigned tasks. • Supporting the development team in staging test data as needed. • Actively contributing to the improvement of QA processes and practices. • Collaborating with peers to enhance testing efficiency and coverage. Qualifications: • Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or relevant experience). • Basic understanding of software quality assurance principles and practices. • Familiarity with testing methodologies and test case documentation. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills. • Effective communication and teamwork abilities. • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic IT environment. Preferred: • 1-3 years of experience with technical software testing. • Experience with SQL queries and data identification. • Familiarity with Medicaid. • Familiarity with CRM solutions. • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies. • Familiarity with Agile process management tools such as Jira and/or Azure DevOps.
