QA Engineer - DB monitoring

Key Responsibilities Test Execution and Contribution: Execute and contribute to comprehensive test strategies for our web application, APIs, and backend services. Work within an agile framework to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle. Quality Advocacy: Perform manual and exploratory testing to identify defects. Collaborate with developers and product managers to ensure a high-quality product. Automation: Contribute to and maintain our automated test suites using Playwright (with a preference for JavaScript). Help increase test coverage and reliability. Database Validation: Perform database testing by writing and executing SQL queries to ensure data integrity. Work with various databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. CI/CD Integration: Work with our CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) to integrate automated tests. Ensure quality gates are met at each stage of the delivery process. Scripting and Tooling: Use Python and Bash scripting to assist in creating testing tools and automating QA processes. Container Testing: Test containerized applications within Docker and AWS environments. Essential Skills & Experience Experience in database testing (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) with good SQL and data validation skills. Experience with test automation frameworks, preferably Playwright and JavaScript. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Bash. Familiarity with CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins). Proficiency with the Linux command line. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker. Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies. Good communication and collaboration skills. Additional Experience Desired Experience with monitoring tools, such as Prometheus and Grafana. Experience with test case management software (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, Jira plugins). Experience with API testing tools like Postman or REST-assured. Basic experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure). What is it like working for 3Pillar Global ?
