QA Engineer (Contract)

Type: Contractual (6 hours/day) Duration: 3 months (extendable) Location: Remote Compensation: ₹25,000 per month About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer (Contract) to join our team and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manual and basic automation testing, with a strong understanding of web application testing within the MERN stack ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. Develop, document, and execute test cases, test plans, and regression suites. Perform manual testing of web applications and APIs to identify bugs and usability issues. Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to ensure quality across all project phases. Report and track defects using issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA). Conduct functional, regression, integration, and UI testing. Verify fixes and validate releases before deployment. Support automation efforts where possible (nice to have). Requirements Experience: 1–3 years of experience in QA/testing roles. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies and software QA principles. Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman). Basic knowledge of automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus. Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment. What We Offer Contractual role requiring 6 hours of work per day.
