Project Engineer

VMC Group is a technology-driven manufacturing company seeking a driven and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join their growing team. This role bridges the gap between engineering and sales by managing commercial HVAC construction projects and generating competitive proposals.ResponsibilitiesCreate custom technical details for pre- and post-award phasesServe as liaison between the engineering and sales departmentsFacilitate change requests, communicating impacts on scope, budget, and scheduleAnalyze project documentation to ensure compliance with specifications and codesManage HVAC commercial construction projects from initiation through completionUse pricing schedules and internal tools to develop accurate proposalsMonitor project progress, maintain timelines, and adjust as neededCollaborate with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to align goals and deliverablesGenerate quotes, submittals, and transmittals using internal resourcesConduct job site inspections and provide detailed technical reportsSupport strategic sales initiatives and maintain accurate project recordsProvide technical training and support for internal teams and customersSkillsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is preferred but will consider other engineering degreesANSI/ASHRAE/IES standards knowledge a big plusStrong mathematical and analytical skillsProficiency in Excel; familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Inventor is preferredStrong communication, organizational, and customer service skills15% to 25% Travel possibilityExperience in commercial construction or HVAC engineering preferred not requiredExperience with vibration isolation and seismic/wind restraint is a plusBilingual is a plusBenefitsHealth, dental and vision insurance401K with company matchLife InsuranceFlexible Spending AccountsGenerous annual time off policy12 Company-Paid holidaysA Solid Wellness Program to support your personal health goalsProfessional development opportunitiesCompany OverviewVMC Group is a manufacturer of engineered shock, vibration isolation systems and seismic restraint devices.
