Project Coordinator

Michael Baker International is seeking a Project Coordinator to join their San Diego, California team. The role involves providing administrative and technical support to Project Managers and Executive staff, reviewing project deliverables, and coordinating project schedules and meetings.ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative and technical support for Project Managers and Executive staff primarily in San DiegoConfer with production and engineering personnel and review blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, reports, and other materials to become familiar with technologies, subject matter, and production methodsArrange for formatting, reproduction, and distribution of deliverablesReview deliverables to recommend revisions or changes in format, content, and methods of reproduction and bindingSchedule and participate in external project meetings and assist with preparation of meeting minutes, tracking action items, and client requests (this would include company paid travel to project meetings mostly in California, Arizona and Nevada)Prepare project schedules based on review of project scope documents and coordination with key stakeholdersReview and process post-award contract documents to facilitate initial accounting setup and additional work requestsConfer with internal clients to determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest audience comprehensionGenerate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutionsAdhere to time estimates and sufficiently balance efficiency with quality of workManage workload independently and prioritize multiple project assignments simultaneouslyAbility to quickly learn additional software (e.g., MS Project, Bluebeam Revu, etc.)Other duties and special projects, as assignedSkillsMust possess excellent communication skillsBachelor's degree, or equivalent work experienceOutgoing, organized, proactive and assertiveExcellent English language skills, written and verbal, are essential to success in this roleStrong computer skillsIntermediate to expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 products including Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPointBasic knowledge of Bluebeam and Adobe AcrobatMust be located in San Diego with the expectation to be in-person at least 2x a weekPrior experience within the Architecture/Engineering/Construction or Planning and Environmental industries is preferablePrior experience with federal contracts is preferrablePrior experience in the construction or architectural/engineering industry is preferrableBenefitsMedical, dental, vision insurance401k Retirement PlanHealth Savings Account (HSA)Flexible Spending Account (FSA)Life, AD&D, short-term, and long-term disabilityProfessional and personal developmentGenerous paid time offCommuter and wellness benefitsCompany OverviewMichael Baker International is a Critical Service Provider company.
