They are seeking a Program of Initial Resettlement Case Specialist to coordinate services for newly arriving refugee families, providing cultural adjustment support and promoting self-sufficiency.ResponsibilitiesWelcome newly arriving refugee and immigrant families and individuals in order to help them get off to a great start in building their new lives; this position is the first point of contact for our newly arrived familiesServe as primary R&P case specialist for a regular, ongoing R&P caseload, completing all required R&P core services within the R&P service period (1-3 months)Provide community orientation, advice, and assistance in addressing basic needsAssist refugees with appointments, and other health related appointmentsAssist clients in creating budgets and provide basic financial informationWork to ensure client enrollment to public benefits (as applicable), enrollment in ESL classes, and encourage clients to engage in further integration programs and legal servicesAssist clients in creating individualized service plans that are goal oriented and tailored to individual needsMaintain and complete detailed and accurate records of client files, case notes, and reporting records and submit monthly program reportsEncourage participants to work towards self-sufficiency and early employment (if applicable)Perform home visits and evaluations during service periodIdentify and address barriers to successful resettlement and integrationOperate as a cultural broker between volunteers, church groups, service providers and refugeesMaintain regular communication with clients through phone calls, emails, and office visitsComplete reports, service plans, and other tasks related to Refugee and Placement ProgramSkillsMature and personal Christian faithCommitted to the mission, vision, and values of World ReliefDesire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communitiesAble to affirm and/or acknowledge World Relief's Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation documentAbility to work evenings and weekends as client's needs changeValid driver's license and reliable access to an insured vehicle requiredMust be able to pass a background check and MVR checkExperience in Microsoft software including Excel, Word, Power Point, and OutlookBi-lingual desired (e.g., Dari, Pashto, Arabic, Kirundi, Swahili, Spanish)Undergraduate degree preferredPrevious case management experience preferredPrevious professional experience in social services sector strongly preferredBenefitsCompetitive benefits packageEmployee discount programCompany OverviewWorld Relief is a global and humanitarian organization that provides immigration, legal and empowerment services.
