Program Administrator, Volunteer Recruitment and Engagement

The Program Administrator, Volunteer Recruitment and Engagement will support the Volunteer Services team by overseeing volunteer onboarding and engagement initiatives, ensuring effective recruitment and program delivery.ResponsibilitiesBe a thoughtful contributor to the Volunteer Services team, helping to meet department goals and to ensure excellence in operations and program deliveryAct as the first point of contact for the Volunteer Services Team by answering inquiries from prospective and existing volunteers through a centralized email account and responding to general inquiries via phonePlay an integral role in volunteer onboarding by:Ensuring orientation script and slides are up to dateCo-facilitating Orientation and Information sessions on a monthly or bimonthly basisCompleting data entry and follow up with prospective volunteers following each sessionProcessing clearance of background checks for new volunteersCommunicating regularly with program staff to share updates about prospective volunteersâ onboarding progressPost volunteer and college internship opportunities on local and national recruitment websitesAssist with Package Delivery followâup, including reviewing volunteer feedback, routing key information to appropriate colleagues, and sharing event photos with MarketingInterview college intern applicants, schedule internship orientations and assist with candidate communicationAssist with volunteer and college intern recruitment by representing DOROT at recruitment fairs, as neededExecute internal processes that ensure the timely and targeted collection of metrics and narratives aligned with program goals and grant deliverablesCollect and track constituent information and program participation, import relevant information into DOROTâs database (Salesforce platform), and maintain accurate and thorough records, spreadsheets, and program filesAssist with planning Volunteer Appreciation eventsComplete other projects as assignedSkillsA minimum of 1 year of professional experience and/or related experience working with volunteers, older adults, and/or non-profit organizationsDemonstrated ability to proactively solve problems and to work independently and as a collaborative team memberPassion, warmth and sensitivity for DOROT's missionStrong organizational, administrative, and multi-tasking skills with keen attention to detailExceptional customer service skillsClear written and verbal communication skillsProficient in use of MS Office Suite, primarily Word and ExcelExperience with Salesforce data entry and knowledge of databases a plusComfort learning new online tools, including JotFormAbility to work 10-12 evenings and 4 Sundays per year for volunteer orientations/events and agency-wide Package Delivery programs per yearBenefitsGenerous time off.
