Privacy Compliance Analyst
About the position This position is responsible for actively supporting and coordinating HCSC Privacy Office operations, and initiatives; including gathering privacy case, incident, contract, privacy risk, and privacy compliance data and developing and analyzing regular and ad-hoc reports; performing Privacy Office database management including disseminating information from various sources and systems. This position supports and coordinates operational activities and initiatives and resolve issues by working with staff within the department and across departments. Responsible for supporting, coordinating, and distributing regulatory information via intranet and internet website(s), tracking and reporting on a variety of regulatory required initiatives under federal and state laws and compliance with corporate policies and procedures. Responsibilities • Support and coordinate HCSC Privacy Office operations and initiatives. • Gather privacy case, incident, contract, privacy risk, and privacy compliance data. • Develop and analyze regular and ad-hoc reports. • Perform Privacy Office database management. • Disseminate information from various sources and systems. • Support and coordinate operational activities and initiatives. • Resolve issues by working with staff within the department and across departments. • Support, coordinate, and distribute regulatory information via intranet and internet website(s). • Track and report on a variety of regulatory required initiatives under federal and state laws. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree OR 4 years of work experience. • Knowledge of the health care industry. • Decision-making skills and analytical abilities. • Verbal and written communication skills; listening skills; and organizational skills. • Ability to work with peers and resolve issues or complete projects/initiatives. • Problem resolution skills. • Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information. • PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Nice-to-haves • Knowledge of corporate privacy policies and procedures, privacy regulations. • Ability to work independently and self-motivated. • HCSC knowledge. • Experience supporting development of compliance controls for enabling technology solutions. • Experience in assessing compliance with governance controls.
