Privacy & AI Legal Counsel - Remote
About the position This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Privacy & AI Legal Counsel - REMOTE. This role is pivotal for providing strategic legal guidance on data privacy practices and responsible AI adoption. You will collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization to ensure compliance with evolving regulations while fostering innovative practices. The ideal candidate will navigate complex legal frameworks and support data governance measures, contributing to a secure and ethical organizational culture. You will also play a significant role in shaping the company’s approach toward emerging technologies like generative AI. Responsibilities • Advise on operational privacy matters and relevant regulations. • Draft, review, and negotiate data protection and vendor contracts. • Partner with governance teams to enhance frameworks and conduct assessments. • Support AI governance and ensure responsible adoption of technologies. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data privacy and AI matters. • Monitor regulatory changes and develop internal guidance on compliance. • Advise on cookie and tracking technologies related to analytics and marketing. • Assist with additional legal matters as required. Requirements • J.D. degree and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. • 4–8 years of legal experience, preferably in privacy and tech. • Deep understanding of U.S. state privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA, etc.). • Proven experience in drafting and negotiating technology contracts. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a pragmatic approach.
