Prevention and Intervention Specialist - Remote Opportunity with Workwarp
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Prevention and Intervention Specialist to join our team at Workwarp. As a specialist, you will play a critical role in implementing substance abuse education, behavior management, violence prevention, and intervention programs. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with building level and district administration to develop and implement prevention and intervention programs
Plan and oversee in-school intervention programs, working closely with administration and teaching staff
Participate on student support teams and communicate with parents and guardians as needed
Assist in supporting alternative education programs for suspended and/or expelled students
Facilitate groups on substance abuse education, social skills, and anger management
Requirements:
48 hours of college credit or associate's degree in a human services related field
2+ years of experience working with students who are considered 'at-risk' or have behavioral problems
Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
Strong knowledge of current trends involving children and adolescents
Excellent interpersonal, public speaking, written, and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently with little supervision and prioritize multiple projects
