Pre-Sales Engineer (Data & Analytics)
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Pre-Sales Engineer specializing in Data & Analytics to join our innovative team. This role combines deep data engineering expertise with customer-facing storytelling, supporting enterprise clients evaluating modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, cloud ecosystems).
You will act as a trusted technical advisor, translating complex data architectures into business value.
Pre-Sales Engagement
• Partner with Account Executives to qualify opportunities and define technical strategy
• Lead discovery sessions to understand customer data architecture, use cases, and pain points
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations, workshops, and executive presentations
2. Solution Design
• Architect scalable solutions across:
• Data warehousing / lakehouse
• ETL / ELT pipelines
• Real-time analytics & AI/ML use cases
• Design and execute Proof of Concepts (POCs) and pilots
• Map customer requirements to platform capabilities
3. Technical Expertise
• Provide deep expertise in:
• SQL, Python, Spark
• Data modeling & pipeline design
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Advise on best practices for performance, cost optimization, and governance
4. Sales Enablement & Strategy
• Support RFP/RFI responses
• Contribute to technical win strategy and competitive positioning
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering on customer feedback
5. Customer Advocacy
• Build strong relationships with technical stakeholders (Data Engineers, Architects, CIOs)
• Act as a long-term trusted advisor during evaluation cycles
Qualifications
• 5–10+ years in: Data Engineering / Data Architecture / Analytics Engineering OR Pre-Sales / Sales Engineering in data platforms
• Hands-on experience with at least one: Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse
• Strong knowledge of: Distributed data processing (Spark preferred) Data pipelines, ETL/ELT, orchestration tools
• Experience presenting to both technical and business audiences
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes
Pay: $79,167.29 - $110,000.00 per year
