Role: Power BI + Snowflake Engineer Location: Remote Duration: 6-month Contract Interview Process: Lumen Screening + Client Interview NOTES: Ideally, Lumen is looking for Lead level candidate should be 10+ years of experience, EST time preferred someone really good at Dashboard creation, DAX modeling, Power Query (M language), custom visuals, and data gateway setup. Expertise in Snowflake architecture, schema design, warehouse management, and query optimization. Role Overview: We are looking for a Power BI + Snowflake Engineer to design, develop, and optimize modern data analytics and visualization solutions for MGX's enterprise-level data platform. The role combines expertise in data modelling, ETL integration, and business intelligence reporting to transform raw Snowflake data into actionable insights using Power BI. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models for business and operational analytics. • Design and implement data models (Star/Snowflake schema) optimized for analytics on Snowflake. • Build SQL scripts, views, and stored procedures in Snowflake for reporting and data consumption layers. • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure data accuracy, quality, and governance. • Implement role-based access controls (RBAC) and performance optimization within Power BI and Snowflake. • Connect and integrate Power BI with Snowflake via ODBC / DirectQuery / Import modes. • Support data ingestion pipelines from ETL tools (e.g., DBT, Airflow, Fivetran, Informatica) as needed. • Create reusable templates and maintain documentation for reporting standards and metadata. • Collaborate with stakeholders across business units to translate KPIs and metrics into analytical solutions. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field. • Certification(s): Snowflake SnowPro Core / Power BI Data Analyst Associate preferred. • Experience in cloud platforms (Azure or AWS). • Familiarity with Data Governance and security practices.
