Power BI Developer / Data Visualization Analyst
Location: Remote (Chicago, IL area preferred Northbrook proximity is a plus)
Employment: Contract (W2 only)
Position Summary
We are seeking a Power BI Developer / Data Visualization Analyst to support reporting and analytics initiatives for a healthcare-focused organization. This role will focus on building scalable dashboards, transforming data into actionable insights, and supporting business stakeholders with reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
• Translate business requirements into data models and visualizations
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from multiple sources
• Optimize report performance and ensure data accuracy
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting needs
• Support ad hoc reporting and data analysis requests
• Maintain documentation for dashboards, data sources, and logic
Required Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboards)
• Experience working with SQL and relational databases
• Ability to work with large datasets and optimize performance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience gathering requirements and working with business users
• Excellent communication skills
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
• Experience with Qlik Sense (not required)
• Healthcare or insurance domain experience
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts
• Experience working in a remote, distributed team
